Keys

Today we are scheduled to officially get the keys to our first house. In negotiations for the house, the previous owners asked for a 30-day rent back option, and we agreed. After living with my parents for 30 blissful days, the day is finally here. Even though we have technically owned the house for a month, it still doesn't seem real. I can't wait to run through the house and look at every square inch. I plan on snapping some photos of our first moments in the house, not only for our scrapbook, but to carry with me all weekend as I madly shop and start checking items off my continually growing list of projects.

So why am I writing this blog? One reason. I am one of those people that starts cleaning the kitchen, but somehow I end up pulling everything out of the linen closet and re-organizing it before I finish the kitchen. I can't stay focused on one project. I eventually make my way back to the kitchen, but not before cleaning out underneath our bed and color coating my closet. It's that bad. In a perfect world, this blog will keep me focused on one home project at a time as I document each from start to finish. So, here goes nothin'.
